### **The Opportunity**  
Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is seeking a **Medical Science Liaison (MSL)** who will be the medical/scientific voice of expertise for ADC products and therapeutic areas. This field-based role focuses on engaging with stakeholders to provide expert medical/scientific advice, facilitating scientific exchange, and collaborating on research and professional development efforts. This role will primarily cover the Alabama, Florida, and Puerto Rico region of the US.

### **What You’ll Work On**  
- **Scientific Leadership**: Build and maintain professional, credible relationships with thought leaders and external experts in the diabetes field.  
- **Engagement**: Collaborate with cross-functional teams while ensuring functional independence and a high level of scientific engagement.  
- **Scientific Presentations**: Deliver credible presentations to healthcare providers, focusing on scientific matters related to ADC products and therapeutic areas.  
- **Thought Leader Identification**: Participate in the selection process to engage thought leaders for advisory roles, conferences, and symposia.  
- **Scientific Conferences**: Attend relevant scientific meetings and collaborate with internal stakeholders to summarize key findings.  
- **Scientific Support**: Provide thought leaders and external experts with scientific support for publications and collaborations.  
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure all activities are aligned with applicable local and national laws, regulations, and company policies.

### **Required Qualifications**  
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in a health sciences field (Advanced degrees preferred, such as PharmD, MD/DO, NP/DNP, PA, PhD).  
- **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in a health sciences field.  
- **Knowledge**: Solid understanding of the diabetes field is highly preferred.

### **Preferred Qualifications**  
- **Experience**: Prior experience working in the diabetes field.  
- **License**: U.S. licensed healthcare professional (MD, PharmD, PA, NP).
