Job Summary
IQVIA is hiring a Medical Science Liaison (Player-Coach) to support field medical engagement and clinical education in viral liver disease, hepatology, and infectious disease (HIV). This role offers a rare opportunity to combine leadership with hands-on scientific exchange. You’ll lead peer-to-peer dialogues, coach MSLs, and collaborate on clinical trials and stakeholder engagement across North America. Perfect for experienced MSLs seeking a leadership path in a global, data-driven healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as both a field-based MSL and coach/mentor for MSL team members.
Conduct scientific exchange on viral hepatitis and infectious diseases with healthcare professionals.
Support HCP advocacy, peer influence initiatives, and medical education.
Provide clinical trial support alongside CRAs and Clinical Trial Leads.
Represent the company at congresses and advisory boards, sharing key clinical data.
Offer compliant and accurate clinical insights to stakeholders.
Deliver internal feedback and market intelligence to relevant teams.
Assist with internal projects and support advisory events as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) preferred; Master’s required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in hepatology and/or infectious disease.
Prior MSL experience required.
Clinical trial and community outreach experience preferred.
Excellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills.
Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook.
Knowledge of regulatory standards for scientific communication.
Ability to travel up to 70% across the US and Canada.
Valid driver’s license and full vaccination (if client-mandated).
