Role Overview:

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will represent Sun Pharmaceuticals, focusing on providing scientific information to healthcare providers (HCPs) and supporting dermatology products. The MSL will engage with national and regional thought leaders, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and managed care accounts, delivering educational and compliant scientific information. This position requires a strong ability to communicate complex scientific data in a clear, compliant, and educational manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Communication:

    • Engage with HCPs, NPs, and PAs to communicate complex scientific information and research aligned with Sun’s corporate objectives.
    • Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.
  • Training & Support:

    • Identify and train members of Sun’s speakers' bureau, ensuring they are updated on new scientific data.
    • Respond to Investigator-Sponsored Research (ISS) proposals and act as the point of contact with HCPs if research is accepted.
    • Support Sun-sponsored research initiatives.
  • Feedback & Interaction:

    • Provide feedback to Sun stakeholders based on field interactions with healthcare providers and thought leaders.
    • Participate in scientific committees or project teams supporting MSL strategies.
  • Compliance & Ethics:

    • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare compliance SOPs and US regulations.
    • Foster scientific relationships with fellows in training and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
  • Business Development:

    • Identify business opportunities for Sun by gathering customer feedback and pairing unmet needs with available resources.
  • Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with SUN clinical and commercial personnel, assist in training Sun staff, and work effectively with other internal teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Doctorate/Terminal degree required (PharmD, MD, DO, DNP, or PhD).
  • Experience:

    • Dermatology background strongly preferred.
    • 1-3 years of clinical, research, and/or field medical experience preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, FDA requirements, and PhRMA code.
  • Skills:

    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
    • Strong presentation and education skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
    • Demonstrated project management ability.
  • Travel Requirements:

    • Travel up to 60-70%.
  • Additional Requirements:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.
    • Valid driver’s license.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $175,500 to $200,000, based on factors like geographical location and experience.
