Job Summary:
Sun Pharmaceutical is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to represent the company in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and Western Massachusetts. The MSL will engage with healthcare providers (HCPs), thought leaders, payers, and managed care accounts to deliver educational and compliant scientific information supporting dermatology products. The MSL will serve as a key field medical resource, responding to complex inquiries and providing scientific, fair-balanced, and compliant information.

Responsibilities:

Engagement with Healthcare Providers and Thought Leaders:

  • Engage with healthcare providers and thought leaders to advance the scientific platform aligned with Sun Pharmaceutical’s corporate goals.

  • Communicate complex scientific and research concepts to HCPs.

  • Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision-makers.

  • Identify and train speakers for Sun’s speakers' bureau, ensuring they are updated with new data.

  • Respond to investigator-sponsored research (ISS) proposals, transitioning them to Sun for review and presenting the research.

  • Support SUN-sponsored research and foster scientific relationships with fellows in training.

Field Interaction and Collaboration:

  • Provide feedback from field interactions to Sun stakeholders.

  • Respond to scientific inquiries in line with MSL compliance standards.

  • Participate in committees or project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics.

  • Seek opportunities to support the MSL value proposition, achieving results while setting an example by demonstrating Sun's values and leadership attributes.

  • Identify business opportunities for Sun by uncovering customer needs and matching them with internal resources.

  • Act as a team player, collaborating with Sun clinical and commercial teams, as well as assisting in staff training.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, team, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated project management abilities.

  • Ability to present complex clinical and non-clinical technical information effectively.

  • High degree of tact and professionalism when interacting with others.

  • Compliance with all applicable SUN Health Care Compliance SOPs and U.S. regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate/Terminal degree required (PharmD, MD, DO, DNP, or PhD).

  • Dermatology background strongly preferred.

  • 1-3 years of clinical, research, or field medical experience preferred.

  • Thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, FDA requirements, and PhRMA code.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and education skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to travel up to 60-70%.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base Compensation: $152,500 - $186,500 (varies based on location and experience).

  • Eligibility for Annual Performance Bonus Plan.
