Position Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific professional responsible for delivering medical and scientific support for Organon’s Women’s Health portfolio.

This role serves as a trusted scientific partner to healthcare professionals (HCPs), scientific experts, managed markets customers, and key stakeholders through evidence-based scientific exchange. The MSL will support clinical research initiatives, deliver scientific presentations, provide product education, and help shape medical strategy through field insights.

The ideal candidate will possess strong therapeutic expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build long-term collaborative relationships across the healthcare ecosystem.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific Engagement & Stakeholder Management

  • Build, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with:
    • Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)
    • Clinical investigators
    • Academic institutions
    • Professional organizations
    • Patient advocacy groups
    • Managed care organizations / payers
    • Key decision-makers and healthcare stakeholders
  • Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and balanced medical exchange consistent with company policies and compliance standards.
  • Deliver accurate, evidence-based clinical and scientific information to support the appropriate use of products and services.

Medical & Scientific Expertise

  • Maintain deep expertise in:
    • Women’s Health therapeutic area
    • Clinical data
    • Disease state management
    • Scientific literature
    • Emerging medical trends
  • Present clinical data and scientific updates to healthcare professionals, investigators, and other medical stakeholders.
  • Respond to unsolicited medical information requests in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Clinical Research & Collaboration

  • Identify and support:
    • Pre-clinical research opportunities
    • Clinical trial investigators
    • Post-marketing study collaborations
  • Facilitate research partnerships, including:
    • Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs)
    • Scientific collaborations
    • Site identification and investigator engagement
  • Collaborate closely with Clinical Development teams on:
    • Investigator selection
    • Relationship management
    • Site performance and recruitment strategies

Internal Medical Support

  • Support scientific training for:
    • Commercial teams
    • Cross-functional internal stakeholders
    • Medical colleagues
  • Assist with:
    • Speaker training programs
    • Advisory board scientific support
    • Development of medical-to-medical communication materials
    • Scientific communication planning

Conferences & Medical Meetings

  • Represent the organization at:
    • National medical conferences
    • Regional scientific meetings
    • Medical information booth activities
  • Gather real-world clinical insights from healthcare professionals to inform internal strategy, planning, and scientific initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education

Candidates must hold one of the following:

  • PharmD
  • PhD
  • MD
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Equivalent advanced scientific/medical qualification

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of:
    • Clinical practice experience and/or
    • Pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in Women’s Health
