Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with strong scientific expertise in Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease. This field-based role focuses on scientific exchange, clinical engagement, and strategic collaboration with healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and key opinion leaders to support the clinical and medical impact of the organization’s product portfolio.

The MSL will serve as a scientific expert, providing advanced clinical insights, medical education, and evidence-based support to stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and Government channels.


Experience Level

Minimum 2+ years of experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company, medical affairs, or managed care environment. Extensive neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease experience strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

Scientific & Clinical Engagement

  • Build and maintain scientific relationships with healthcare professionals, academic institutions, organized provider networks, and medical organizations.

  • Deliver clinical education on product benefits, therapeutic data, and emerging evidence to support informed decision-making.

  • Attend relevant medical and scientific conferences to stay updated on the latest clinical developments and strengthen professional networks.

Field-Based Medical Support

  • Serve as a scientific liaison across internal teams, including Medical, Sales, Marketing, and Market Access.

  • Collaborate with clinical trial sites, supporting study initiation, coordination, and ongoing investigator engagement.

  • Provide clinical insights to internal stakeholders to inform strategy, product planning, and scientific communications.

  • Support formulary discussions through clinical knowledge, data interpretation, and evidence presentation.

Account Strategy & Advocacy

  • Develop regional medical plans in alignment with therapeutic priorities and territory needs.

  • Engage with key opinion leaders to promote effective scientific exchange.

  • Identify collaboration opportunities that support medical education, clinical data dissemination, and healthcare provider engagement.

Operational & Administrative Excellence

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within CRM systems (e.g., Veeva) and expense platforms (e.g., Concur).

  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational policies.

  • Provide monthly activity and budget reports to the MSL Field Director.

  • Manage territory-level operations, scheduling, and medical education initiatives effectively.


Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree required (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent).

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical, clinical, medical affairs, or managed care settings.

  • Strong background in Neurology, with emphasis on Alzheimer’s Disease, highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret scientific data and communicate complex clinical information.

  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and business acumen skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 50–75%, including overnight stays.

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.


Compensation

Annual Base Pay Range: USD 150,000 – 220,000
Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits, incentive plans, and allowances may apply.
