Overview:

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Hematology to support territories in Houston, TX and Louisiana. As an MSL, you will play a pivotal role in providing medical insights, fostering scientific discussions, and supporting the medical community in delivering safe and effective treatments. This is a field-based role that focuses on engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs), scientific leaders, and internal teams to ensure the successful development, launch, and lifecycle management of BMS products.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Engagement:

  • Scientific Dialogue: Engage with key thought leaders (TLs) and HCPs to provide insights on clinical landscapes and inform the development of medical plans.
  • Pre-Launch & Peri-Launch Support: Collaborate on product and disease area-focused strategies, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives.
  • Real-Time Support: Serve as “Medical on Call” to answer unsolicited clinical questions and address off-label inquiries.
  • Training & Education: Provide training to external speakers and medical societies as needed.

Clinical Trial Support:

  • Study Feasibility: Provide insights to the clinical development team regarding study feasibility and site identification.
  • Patient Access: Work with key accounts to address clinical barriers and promote equity in access to clinical trials.
  • Collaboration: Lead evidence read-outs and support interventional and non-interventional research (NIR) studies.

Collaboration with Internal & External Teams:

  • Cross-Functional Engagement: Collaborate with medical, clinical, and commercial teams to ensure effective product launch and lifecycle management.
  • Payer Engagement: Partner with payers during pre- and peri-launch phases in collaboration with the FHEOR and Account Executives.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Tracking & Goals: Ensure accurate documentation and achievement of annual goals.
  • Digital Engagement: Utilize digital tools to enhance medical engagement and improve stakeholder interactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: MD, DO, PharmD, DNP, or PhD.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of clinical or research experience in hematology or 3 years as an MSL in lymphoma or multiple myeloma.
    • Experience in cell therapy is strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills.
    • Ability to engage in scientific discussions and translate complex data into actionable insights.
    • Deep knowledge of clinical trial design, medical practice, and evolving healthcare models.
    • Experience using digital tools and CRM systems to manage HCP interactions.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience.
