Position Summary:

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Immunology (Dermatology) for its Mid-Atlantic territory, covering North Carolina and Central/Southern Virginia.

As a Medical Science Liaison, you will be responsible for providing fair, balanced, scientific education and engagement with Opinion Leaders (OLs) and Health Care Professionals (HCPs). You will support research initiatives, stay abreast of evolving scientific trends, and collaborate cross-functionally to positively impact patient care.

This role requires high integrity, adherence to health care compliance standards, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships and drive educational strategy across a defined geography.


Key Responsibilities:

Scientific Engagement & Education

  • Deliver objective, evidence-based education to HCPs and KOLs.

  • Act as a scientific expert on current/future J&J Innovative Medicine products.

  • Stay current on scientific trends, treatment paradigms, and disease landscape.

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan involving educational activities with OLs, institutions, and community practices.

  • Engage in both virtual and in-person meetings, prioritizing face-to-face interaction where appropriate.

Research & Clinical Trial Support

  • Provide scientific support for company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research.

  • Collaborate with R&D and Medical Affairs to connect with investigators and manage site relationships.

  • Participate in study initiation visits, launch meetings, and troubleshooting efforts.

Internal Collaboration

  • Partner with field teams to ensure support for HCPs and patient care impact.

  • Share field-based insights to inform internal teams.

  • Adhere to regulatory, compliance, and company policy standards in all activities.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Advanced degree: PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, or PA

  • 2+ years of clinical experience in a relevant therapeutic area

  • Ability to travel up to 70% (includes overnight and occasional weekend travel)

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Must reside within the defined territory or be open to relocation

Preferred:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pharma, research, or clinical settings with presentation responsibility

  • Knowledge or experience in Immunology and/or Dermatology

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and remote communication platforms

  • Located in/near Raleigh, Durham, Richmond, or Virginia Beach


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range: $115,000 – $197,800

  • Eligible for Company Car via Johnson & Johnson FLEET Program

  • Annual performance bonus eligibility (cash bonus based on individual and company performance)
