Job Summary
IQVIA is hiring a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in viral liver disease, hepatology, and infectious diseases such as HIV. This field-based role involves building scientific relationships with healthcare providers, supporting clinical trials, and representing our client’s therapeutic solutions. The MSL will serve as a scientific expert and internal resource in liver disease, providing high-quality, compliant scientific communication across the central U.S. region.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in peer-to-peer scientific exchange with HCPs on liver disease and treatment advancements
Represent IQVIA at medical congresses and advisory boards
Support clinical trial teams and collaborate with CRAs and Clinical Trial Leads
Present clinical data to physicians, academic institutions, and healthcare stakeholders
Share field insights with internal cross-functional teams
Educate HCPs on current treatment protocols and disease state knowledge
Attend and support medical advisory events
Ensure all scientific discussions comply with regulatory and ethical standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Advanced medical degree (PharmD, MD, or PhD) preferred; Master’s degree required
Minimum 1 year of therapeutic area experience (Hepatology/Infectious Disease) preferred
Prior MSL experience required
Clinical trial or research experience a plus
Strong understanding of compliant scientific communication and regulatory environment
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, CRM tools, and SharePoint
Willingness to travel up to 70%
Must hold a valid driver’s license
Fluent in English
