Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) play a pivotal role in advancing our medical mission by becoming trusted and agile partners. They engage in meaningful scientific dialogue, delivering impactful data and insights that drive the adoption of Bristol Myers Squibb medicines. This field-based role involves spending 60-70% of time engaging with Thought Leaders (TLs), Healthcare Providers (HCPs), and stakeholders to ensure the safe, effective, and appropriate use of our therapies. The primary focus is on cardiovascular (CV) therapy areas during pre-launch, launch, and immediate post-launch phases.
Build and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders, HCPs, and access stakeholders to address scientific and HEOR-related inquiries through various interaction channels (e.g., 1:1 meetings, group presentations, remote discussions).
Develop and execute medical interaction plans with key accounts (e.g., Army, Railways, CGHS) based on stakeholder needs and aligned with overall medical strategy.
Present scientific and clinical information in a fair, balanced, and compliant manner.
Gather medical insights from Thought Leaders to inform strategy development.
Continuously update knowledge in disease management, treatment strategies, competitive landscapes, and scientific activities.
Develop Field Medical plans and TL interaction strategies based on therapeutic area objectives.
Support the execution of medical plans, including the development of scientifically impactful programs and projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on institution/account plans.
Provide ongoing medical/scientific training and updates to internal teams (e.g., Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access).
Support promotional meetings by presenting unbiased scientific and clinical data.
Evaluate and support BMS-contracted speakers.
Support Interventional and Non-Interventional Research (NIR) studies, including site identification and patient recruitment discussions.
Provide insights for clinical trial feasibility based on field knowledge and investigator contacts.
Support investigator-initiated study submissions and ensure adherence to pharmacovigilance procedures.
Collaborate with patient advocacy groups to implement education programs.
Contribute to the creation of patient education materials.
Report adverse events and ensure compliance with BMS safety protocols.
MBBS, MD, BDS, or MDS.
1-2 years of Field Medical experience in medical affairs preferred.
Prior experience in the cardiovascular therapy area is advantageous.
Strong scientific and clinical research knowledge.
Ability to independently work as a team player.
Expertise in presenting complex scientific data to HCPs and researchers.
Knowledge of HEOR concepts and clinical trial processes.
Understanding of disease area landscapes and scientific publications.
Awareness of national healthcare and access environments.
Excellent spoken and written English.
