Position Overview:

Lilly is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our team in Cardiometabolic Health. As an MSL, you will be responsible for engaging in scientific exchanges with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and clinical experts in the cardiology and nephrology fields. This role will involve providing up-to-date scientific and clinical data, supporting educational events, and building strategic relationships with external experts to foster scientific advancements in the therapeutic area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scientific Exchange: Engage in scientific discussions with cardiologists and nephrologists in hospitals and clinics, providing insights into the latest scientific findings in the field of cardiometabolic health.
  • Expert Identification: Identify and establish strong relationships with Scientific and Clinical Experts in cardiology and nephrology to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Study Data Dissemination: Present and communicate relevant study data to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring the information is tailored to specific scientific and clinical needs.
  • Event Organization: Plan, moderate, and execute scientific meetings, symposia, and conferences to promote knowledge exchange and deepen engagement with experts in the field.
  • Market Insights: Monitor and report on therapeutic trends and developments in the cardiometabolic space, sharing valuable insights with internal teams to inform strategic decisions.
  • Conference Participation: Actively participate in relevant scientific congresses and symposia to network with key experts and present the latest research and developments.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) in Medicine, Life Sciences, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    • Several years of experience in Medical Affairs or as a Medical Science Liaison, preferably within the cardiometabolic area.
    • Proven track record in fostering relationships with healthcare professionals and experts in the field.
    • Experience in the planning and execution of scientific events and in the dissemination of clinical study data.
  • Skills:
    • Strategic thinking and innovation in driving scientific exchange and engagement.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific information clearly and effectively.
    • Independent, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities and working flexibly in a field-based role.
    • High level of travel flexibility within the assigned regions (Aachen, Cologne, Bonn, Trier, Saarland; Karlsruhe, Heilbronn, Stuttgart, Villingen-Schwenningen, Freiburg).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluency in both German and English are essential.
