Job Opportunity: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Appalachia

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will serve as a regional medical and scientific resource, building and maintaining relationships with External Experts (EEs) in the fields of Movement Disorders and Psychiatry. This role involves engaging in balanced scientific exchange, educating healthcare providers on Teva’s products, and supporting clinical research initiatives.

  • Territory: Appalachia (OH, WV, Western PA).
  • Travel: Overnight travel up to 60%, including evening and weekend events.

Key Responsibilities

External Engagement

  • Develop and maintain relationships with External Experts (EEs) and healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and advanced practice providers in Psychiatry and Movement Disorders.
  • Represent Teva at medical meetings, programs, and professional organizations to foster education and collaboration.

Education & Scientific Support

  • Provide medical and scientific presentations to healthcare professionals and internal teams (e.g., sales training, advisory meetings, marketing initiatives).
  • Respond to medical information requests and unsolicited inquiries in a compliant, fair-balanced manner.

Clinical Research Support

  • Assist in identifying investigators and clinical trial sites for company-sponsored studies.
  • Stay informed of current medical and scientific research in Teva’s therapeutic areas of interest.

Administrative Duties

  • Submit timely and accurate administrative reports and project documentation.

Qualifications

Required

  • Terminal Scientific Doctoral Degree (PhD, MD, DO, PharmD, PsyD).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in neuropsychiatric therapeutic or clinical fields.

Preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience with severe mental illnesses (e.g., schizophrenia, tardive dyskinesia).
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Strong oral presentation skills and experience publishing therapeutic research.
