    Job Title: Freelance Medical Reviewer

    Location: Remote (India)
    Employment Type: Freelance

    Overview:

    At CACTUS, we are a remote-first organization, allowing you to work from anywhere in India. However, occasional travel to our Mumbai office may be required for business needs or team events.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manuscript and Document Evaluation:

      • Assess manuscripts, posters, slide decks, educational materials, and medical literature for data accuracy.
      • Review documents created by medical writers for scientific data errors by comparing with annotated references, CSRs, and other source materials.

    • Quality Control:

      • Identify discrepancies within text, between figures/tables, and between text and supplementary materials; suggest improvements.
      • Detect missing sources and gaps in scientific logic.
      • Ensure compliance with grammar, syntax, style guides, regulatory guidelines, and publishing standards.

    • Communication and Reporting:

      • Communicate QC/fact-check findings effectively with clients and medical writers.
      • Deliver QC reports to stakeholders, identifying quality trends.
      • Ensure timely delivery of documents.

    • Collaboration and Professional Development:

      • Engage proactively with team members, authors/faculty, clients, and vendors.
      • Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance skills and contribute to organizational goals.

    Qualifications and Prerequisites:

    • Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical writing or relevant field; freshers with substantial knowledge of the publication landscape or clinical research are also welcome.
    • Education: Master’s degree in Research or equivalent industry experience.
    • Skills:
      • Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
      • Excellent attention to detail and zero tolerance for errors.
      • Strong written and oral communication skills.
      • Proficiency with MS Office.
      • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
      • Experience with Veeva Vault is a plus.
