Medical Research Associate – PRN | Salt Lake City, UT

ICON plc, a global leader in clinical research and healthcare intelligence, is hiring a Medical Research Associate (PRN) for its Salt Lake City clinic. This onsite role offers a unique opportunity to support cutting-edge clinical trials by assisting with patient vitals and procedures. Ideal for healthcare professionals with a background in phlebotomy, nursing assistance, or lab technology.

Work Mode: On-site
Schedule: PRN (3 days/week, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
Preferred Experience: 1+ years in a clinical or medical field

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and monitor clinical research participants as they arrive

  • Take vital signs: height, weight, blood pressure, BMI

  • Perform phlebotomy on study participants

  • Ensure participants meet study protocol health criteria

  • Follow sponsor protocols for procedures and assessments

  • Chaperone subjects during breaks and provide comfort support

  • Actively participate in team meetings and clinic assignments


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

  • 1+ years of experience in medical or clinical settings (preferred)

  • Phlebotomy and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)

  • Effective communication skills in English

  • Preferred backgrounds:

    • Medical Assistant

    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

    • Certified Medication Aide

    • Telemetry Technician

    • Laboratory Technician
