Job Overview

We are hiring a Medical Representative to drive prescription generation and product promotion through effective field-based engagement with healthcare professionals. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a career in pharmaceutical sales, medical marketing, and frontline healthcare engagement. The position involves direct interaction with doctors, pharmacists, and distribution partners to achieve sales targets and support brand growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute effective field activities to achieve and exceed assigned sales budgets through prescription generation from healthcare professionals.

  • Conduct Regular RCPA (Retail Chemist Prescription Audit) and ensure accurate data entry into internal systems.

  • Perform structured Pre-Call Planning for every doctor visit to maximize call effectiveness.

  • Present, demonstrate, and promote assigned products to doctors and pharmacists in line with division guidelines.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure customer retention and prescription continuity.

  • Ensure adequate product availability at pharmacies to honor prescriptions and achieve required Primary Order Bookings (POBs).

  • Develop, update, and maintain doctor and chemist lists as per organizational strategy and territory guidelines.

  • Support and ensure successful execution of new product launches through effective implementation of field strategies.

  • Coordinate with distribution channel partners including stockists to ensure smooth product availability and distribution.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Science, Pharmacy, Management, or Veterinary Sciences.
    Accepted qualifications include:

    • B.Sc.

    • B.Pharm

    • D.Pharm

    • MBA

    • BVSc

    • Diploma in Veterinary Science


Experience Requirement

  • 0 to 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical marketing, or healthcare field roles.

  • Freshers with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
