Position Overview

The Medical Receptionist Float will work at various Pediatric Associates locations across San Antonio, including ABCD Boerne, ABCD Schertz, ABCD Bulverde, Blanco, ABCD TTY, ABCD Kid Doc, and ABCD Stone Oak. This role offers a $1K sign-on bonus for new hires and $500 for internal candidates. You will be part of a clinician-led team dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Check-In: Update demographic and insurance info, collect co-pays, and assist with health questionnaires.
  • Patient Check-Out: Collect balances, provide visit summaries, and ensure follow-up appointments are scheduled.
  • Insurance Verification: Confirm patient insurance status and resolve any issues.
  • Financial Administration: Post charges and payments, reconcile accounts.
  • Documentation: Upload medical records, manage incoming mail, and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Communication: Maintain excellent phone skills and interact effectively with patients, providers, and staff.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ year in a medical office preferred.
  • Licensure: Must have an active, valid driver's license.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication, grammar, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work with medical software and manage patient documents.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Patient-facing role with opportunities for remote work.
