Overview:
IQVIA is seeking a highly experienced Medical Project Manager (Agency Equivalent: Scientific Project Director) with strong scientific communication skills to manage complex client projects, oversee scientific content development, and strengthen relationships across cross-functional teams and client stakeholders. This remote opportunity is ideal for candidates who blend deep scientific expertise with project and brand management capabilities.
Core Responsibilities:
Project & Account Management:
Lead strategic and content ownership for high-visibility projects
Manage digital, interactive, and publication-based deliverables
Drive long-term project planning, including timelines, SOPs, and budget adherence
Serve as primary client liaison to ensure brand alignment and timely deliverables
Organize and lead internal team meetings and client updates
Maintain detailed reporting and project tracking using Basecamp
Support recruitment and relationship management of faculty/KOLs
Develop pitches and presentation content for client engagement
Scientific Content Development:
Create and lead content strategy across disease areas and therapies
Author technical/scientific documents aligned with client goals
Integrate regulatory, medical, and creative best practices into deliverables
Assess scientific accuracy and relevance of external and internal materials
Monitor competitive landscape and evolving trends in medical communications
Stay current on innovations in data visualization and digital scientific content
Client Relationship Management:
Set and manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle
Facilitate strategic planning sessions and solution brainstorms
Lead client meetings and synthesize feedback for internal execution
Support business development, proposal creation, and kick-off planning
Brand & Communication Strategy:
Strengthen relationships with stakeholders across multiple client functions
Ensure brand voice and quality is consistently represented in deliverables
Promote The Summit Global Health (SGH) brand throughout all communications
Provide high-quality service that fosters long-term client satisfaction
Required Qualifications:
PharmD, MD, or PhD in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline
5–8 years experience in academia, pharmaceutical industry, or medical communications
Strong background in medical strategy, content development, and client-facing roles
Expertise in data interpretation, visualization, and digital engagement strategies
Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
Proficient in managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
Willingness to travel for client meetings, medical conferences, and advisory boards
