About the Role

LabCorp, through its PAML division, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the Walla Walla, Washington team. This role provides an opportunity to work in a high-volume, fast-paced laboratory environment while contributing to LabCorp’s mission: “Improving Health, Improving Lives.”

As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will perform routine and complex clinical laboratory testing, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely results to support patient care. This position also offers growth and career development opportunities in the field of clinical laboratory science.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM

  • Overtime and rotating weekends may be required

Work Location: Walla Walla, Washington


Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate specimen acceptability based on established laboratory criteria.

  • Perform routine and advanced laboratory procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to maintain accuracy and reliability.

  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or laboratory controls.

  • Report accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures, documenting all activities.

  • Maintain a safe work environment while adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

  • Assist with specimen processing and replenishment of laboratory supplies as needed.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience required at the Technologist level.

  • ASCP or AMT certification required.

  • Strong hematology background and laboratory experience preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.

  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication.

  • Must pass standardized color vision testing.

  • Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
