The Position: Medical Information Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact, providing information and advice to healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and patients on medical and pharmaceutical inquiries.
  • Address inquiries regarding medical topics (e.g., indications, diagnoses, therapies, adverse reactions) and pharmaceutical topics (e.g., pharmacokinetics, dosages, interactions).
  • Provide comprehensive information to promote the safe and appropriate use of Roche's pharmaceutical products.
  • Correspond with healthcare professionals and patients orally and in writing to address medical and pharmaceutical inquiries.
  • Identify and process suspected adverse reaction cases according to legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain standard response documents to ensure the quality of medical-scientific information.
  • Contribute to the creation of publications, brochures, and presentation materials, and participate in the approval of specialist and patient information.
  • Provide medical-scientific support for defined pharmaceutical products and therapeutic areas.
  • Attend medical congresses and prepare relevant information related to Roche's pharmaceutical products.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor with broad medical knowledge (preferably in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Gynecology, General Medicine, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology) or Pharmacist with relevant experience.
  • Several years of clinical or pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical and advertising law.
  • Strong didactic and communication skills.
  • Ability to clarify complex pharmaceutical/medical issues in a clear and solution-oriented manner.
  • Customer-oriented thinking for excellent service delivery.
