Job Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Information Scientist to join our team on a 1-year fixed-term contract. This position is responsible for providing medical information support related to Pfizer products, addressing medical inquiries, and ensuring compliance with market regulations and company policies. The role will involve research, preparation of scientific responses, and collaboration with various internal stakeholders to support departmental and company objectives across local, regional, and global levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for Medical Information (MI) related to designated product(s) and therapeutic areas.
  • Enquiry Management: Research and respond to escalated medical inquiries from healthcare professionals in compliance with Pfizer and local regulatory standards.
  • Content Development: Develop and maintain global and local scientific response documents for designated portfolio/therapy area, ensuring their availability, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze trends in medical inquiries and provide valuable insights to Medical Information Therapy Area Teams and cross-functional teams, supporting the development of medical plans and strategies.
  • Team Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor MI Specialists and senior team members, providing guidance on complex medical inquiries and fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Process Management: Support Cluster and MI Frontline Leadership in managing specific operational aspects, such as quality monitoring, audit readiness, and relationship management with designated markets.
  • Innovation: Drive new, innovative solutions to improve MI processes and responses, based on business needs and a thorough understanding of MI work and processes.
  • Scientific Congress Support: Assist in the preparation, staffing, and post-congress activities for key scientific conventions and congresses, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, training requirements, and local laws/regulations. Lead efforts to resolve operational issues and implement process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in Medical Information or related fields, with a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements, and therapeutic areas.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in medical information and scientific communication.
    • Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive innovative solutions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex scientific data in an accessible manner.
