Job Title: Medical Director/Physician

Location: San Antonio, TX (100% on-site)

Role Summary:
The Medical Director will lead medical initiatives within project teams, guide strategic decision-making, and provide medical expertise in clinical trials. This full-time, on-site position requires 5+ years of practical clinical medical experience and an MD/D.O. degree.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and rights of trial subjects.

  • Act as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator, playing an active role in clinical trials (Training and oversight will be provided).

  • Lead a team of physicians, nurses, and technical staff in clinical study design, protocol preparation, and clinical trial procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH, GCP).

  • Provide medical education to Clinical Unit staff as appropriate.

  • Support the Business Development team when required.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or equivalent), with specialization in a relevant therapeutic area preferred. Texas License required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of practical clinical medical experience.

  • Proven leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to represent the department effectively.

  • Ability to provide operational management in the absence of senior management.
