Role Summary:
The Medical Director will lead medical initiatives within project teams, guide strategic decision-making, and provide medical expertise in clinical trials. This full-time, on-site position requires 5+ years of practical clinical medical experience and an MD/D.O. degree.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety, well-being, and rights of trial subjects.
Act as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator, playing an active role in clinical trials (Training and oversight will be provided).
Lead a team of physicians, nurses, and technical staff in clinical study design, protocol preparation, and clinical trial procedures.
Ensure compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements (FDA, ICH, GCP).
Provide medical education to Clinical Unit staff as appropriate.
Support the Business Development team when required.
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or equivalent), with specialization in a relevant therapeutic area preferred. Texas License required.
Minimum of 5 years of practical clinical medical experience.
Proven leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in clinical research.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to represent the department effectively.
Ability to provide operational management in the absence of senior management.
