Role: Medical Coding Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder / Senior Coder with active coding certifications (CPC, CPC-A, CIC, CCS, or COC) and strong expertise in CPT and ICD-10 diagnosis coding. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and compliant coding of medical records in accordance with governmental and insurance regulations.
This role offers opportunities to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborate with clinical teams, and contribute to enhancing patient care while optimizing revenue cycle efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.
Review patient charts and medical records to validate coding accuracy and compliance.
Communicate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to clarify documentation.
Research complex or unusual cases to ensure correct coding.
Monitor and update codes to maintain regulatory compliance.
Review previous day’s batches for evaluation and coding quality assurance.
Requirements:
Education: Any Graduate.
Experience: 3–7 years in medical coding.
Certifications: Completion of a coding certification program from AHIMA or AAPC.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Proficient in assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes accurately.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Flexible to work from office or home as per business requirements.
