As an Associate Analyst – Medical Coding (IP & OP), you will be responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes in compliance with government and payer guidelines. Working under defined quality and productivity standards, you will contribute to accurate billing, compliance, and revenue integrity.
Assign ICD-10 and CPT codes to diagnoses and procedures based on clinical documentation
Ensure accurate code selection and sequencing in accordance with payer and regulatory requirements
Review patient charts and medical records for completeness and accuracy
Identify documentation gaps and follow up with providers or clinical teams for clarification
Research complex or unusual coding scenarios as required
Review daily batches of patient notes for evaluation and coding accuracy
Ensure all assigned codes are current, valid, and compliant with coding guidelines
Maintain productivity and quality standards defined by the organization
Fresher or 0–1 year of experience in medical coding
Any Graduate from a recognized university
Mandatory active certification from AHIMA or AAPC, such as:
CPC / CPC-A / CIC / CCS / COC
Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Familiarity with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to process requirements
