Job Overview

We are hiring Certified Medical Coding Freshers to join a high-performing healthcare revenue cycle management team. This role is ideal for candidates holding active medical coding certifications who are looking to begin or accelerate their careers in Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) medical coding.

The selected candidates will be responsible for accurately assigning diagnosis and procedure codes by reviewing medical records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and payer guidelines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes to diagnoses and procedures for IP and OP cases.

  • Review complete patient medical records, including physician notes, operative reports, discharge summaries, and clinical documentation.

  • Ensure coding accuracy, sequencing, and compliance with government regulations, payer policies, and industry standards.

  • Identify documentation gaps and follow up with providers or internal teams for clarification when required.

  • Communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders regarding documentation and coding requirements.

  • Review daily coding batches for quality, accuracy, and completeness.

  • Research complex or unusual cases using standard coding references and guidelines.

  • Ensure all assigned codes are current, valid, and compliant with the latest coding updates.


Required Qualifications

  • Education: Any Graduate (Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Allied Health preferred but not mandatory).

  • Certification: Active medical coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA, such as:

    • CPC / CPC-A

    • CIC

    • CCS

    • COC

  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

  • Sound knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail and quality standards.


Experience Requirement

  • Freshers with certification are encouraged to apply.

  • Candidates with internship or training exposure in IP/OP medical coding will have an added advantage.
