🎯 Primary Responsibilities
Implement updates based on AMA, AHA, and CMS guidelines.
Review and analyze medical records; assign or modify CPT codes for:
Minor surgical procedures
Vaccinations
Laboratory services
Extract and code screening CPT and HCPCS codes accurately.
Validate and modify ICD-10-CM, CPT, and modifiers using:
NCCI edits
LCD/NCD coverage determinations
Ensure accurate and compliant coding within regulatory timelines.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company data security policies.
Participate in team improvement initiatives for better quality and productivity.
Adhere to employment policies, shift changes, and operational flexibility as required by the organization.
🎓 Required Qualifications
Education: Graduate in Life Sciences (mandatory).
Certifications (any one):
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) – AAPC
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) – AHIMA
Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) – AAPC
Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) – AAPC
Must provide valid certification ID during interview or offer stage.
Experience: 0.6 to 5 years in Medical Coding (Freshers eligible).
Strong knowledge of:
ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines
Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology
Data security and confidentiality protocols
