Job Title: Medical Coding Analyst

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana, India

Role Overview:

As a Medical Coding Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical records to ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding. You will apply AMA, AHA, and CMS guidelines, resolve coding edits, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Coding & Compliance:

    • Implement updates from AMA, AHA, and CMS guidelines.
    • Review and assign CPT codes for minor surgical procedures, vaccines, and laboratory services.
    • Extract and code screening CPT codes and HCPCS codes from documentation.
    • Modify ICD-10-CM codes, CPT codes, and modifiers based on NCCI edits and LCD/NCD coverage determinations.
    • Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies for patient confidentiality.
  • Quality & Productivity Improvement:

    • Work collaboratively in a large team environment and provide feedback for quality enhancement.
    • Organize and prioritize work to meet compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Audit & Security Standards:

    • Maintain data security policies and procedures to protect system confidentiality.
    • Follow compliance policies regarding employment terms, work shifts, and location assignments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in a relevant field.
  • AAPC or AHIMA certification (CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC – any one required).
  • Valid certification identification number (to be provided during the interview process).
  • Strong understanding of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology.
  • Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
