🎯 Primary Responsibilities

As a Medical Coding Analyst, you will:

  • Implement coding updates based on AMA, AHA, and CMS guidelines

  • 📋 Review and analyze medical records; add/modify CPT codes for:

    • Minor surgical procedures

    • Vaccines

    • Laboratory procedures

  • 🔍 Extract and code various screening CPT codes and HCPCS codes from documentation

  • ⚙️ Validate and modify codes using:

    • NCCI edits

    • LCD & NCD coverage determinations

    • Update ICD-10-CM codes, CPT codes, and modifiers accordingly

  • 🤝 Act as a team player contributing to quality and productivity improvement

  • 🗂️ Organize and prioritize coding work to meet regulatory and client timelines

  • 🔒 Ensure confidentiality and maintain system security

  • 🧾 Comply with HIPAA guidelines and policies on patient data privacy

  • 📜 Adhere to company policies, including:

    • Employment contract terms

    • Transfer/re-assignment, shift changes, and flexible work arrangements

    • Policy changes based on evolving business needs


🎓 Required Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate (Life Sciences background only)

  • Certification:

    • Certified coder through AAPC or AHIMA

    • Accepted certifications: CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC (any one)

    • Must provide valid certification ID during interview/offer process

  • Experience:

    • Freshers welcome

    • Experienced candidates: 0.6 to 5 years in Medical Coding

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Strong grasp of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology

    • Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines

  • System Security Awareness:

    • Understanding of data protection policies and system security protocols
