Position Overview
As a Medical Coder – Profee Clinic, you will be part of a high-performing team of coding professionals delivering accurate, compliant, and timely medical coding services. You will ensure that clinical documentation is properly translated into standardized codes following the latest industry guidelines and regulatory standards.
This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and a deep understanding of medical coding systems including ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures.
Accurately assign medical codes to reflect the clinical documentation.
Ensure data accuracy and coding integrity across all assignments.
Stay updated with current coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices.
Participate in audits and quality improvement activities to maintain high accuracy levels.
Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks as defined by organizational standards.
Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
Collaborate effectively with internal teams and healthcare professionals for query resolution.
Minimum Qualifications
Certifications (any one required):
AHIMA: CCS
AAPC: CPC or CIC
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience coding Professional Fee (Profee) Clinic records.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong command of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Skilled in using coding software and EHR systems.
Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
Work Location
