Job Summary
As a Medical Coder – Profee Clinic, you will be part of a dedicated team of coding experts responsible for delivering precise and compliant coding services. Your role focuses on accurately assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient professional fee encounters while maintaining the highest standards of productivity and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze medical records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures.
Assign accurate codes that reflect the clinical documentation and adhere to coding standards.
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of all coded data.
Stay updated with coding guidelines, payer rules, and compliance regulations.
Participate in coding audits and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain expected productivity and accuracy targets.
Ensure strict patient confidentiality and full compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Certifications (Any one required):
AHIMA: CCS
AAPC: CPC or CIC
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Profee (Professional Fee) Clinic coding.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and/or HCPCS coding systems.
Comprehensive understanding of coding guidelines and conventions.
Experience using coding software and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical ability to interpret complex clinical documentation.
High attention to detail and commitment to coding precision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
