About the Role

We are hiring a Medical Coder – Profee Radiology / E&M to support professional fee coding, radiology coding, evaluation & management (E&M) coding, and healthcare reimbursement operations within a structured medical coding environment. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, radiology coding, emergency medicine coding, and professional fee healthcare billing workflows.

The ideal candidate will accurately interpret patient documentation, assign diagnosis and procedural codes, ensure coding productivity, and maintain quality standards aligned with client and healthcare compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Coding & Code Assignment

  • Accurately assign standardized medical billing codes using:
    • ICD-10-CM
    • CPT
    • HCPCS
  • Convert diagnoses, physician services, procedures, and healthcare encounters into accurate alphanumeric billing codes.
  • Ensure coding accuracy in line with client guidelines and reimbursement standards.

Professional Fee Coding (Profee)

  • Perform coding for physician professional fee services.
  • Support accurate provider billing and reimbursement workflows.
  • Maintain coding compliance across professional fee healthcare operations.

Radiology Coding

  • Review and code radiology-related medical documentation.
  • Interpret radiology procedures, imaging reports, physician notes, and supporting clinical records.
  • Assign accurate procedural and diagnosis codes for radiology billing workflows.

Evaluation & Management (E&M) Coding

  • Perform coding for Evaluation & Management (E&M) services.
  • Review clinical encounter documentation and assign appropriate service-level coding.
  • Support compliant E&M reimbursement workflows.

Emergency Medicine / Specialty Exposure

  • Apply coding expertise in:
    • Emergency Medicine coding
    • Radiology coding
    • Professional fee coding
    • Multispecialty coding workflows

Productivity & Turnaround Management

  • Complete assigned coding volumes within required turnaround time expectations.
  • Monitor work allocation assigned by Team Lead.
  • Balance speed, productivity, and coding quality standards.

Quality & Compliance

  • Consistently maintain 95%+ coding accuracy.
  • Follow coding SOPs, client guidelines, and quality assurance standards.
  • Ensure coding deliverables are audit-ready and compliant.

Team Collaboration

  • Work independently and collaboratively with coding teams.
  • Engage regularly with Team Leads and Quality Analysts for performance feedback.
  • Participate in weekly QA and team review meetings.

Workflow & Client Process Understanding

  • Build strong understanding of assigned client workflows, coding criteria, documentation standards, and reimbursement expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to client operational processes.

Information Security

  • Protect healthcare data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Follow organizational security policies and compliance standards.
  • Report security incidents where required.

Required Qualifications

  • Life Sciences / Paramedical Graduate or Postgraduate
  • 1–2 years of relevant medical coding experience
