About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder – Emergency Department (ED) to join our healthcare operations team in Noida. This role is responsible for precise coding of professional and facility services across Emergency Department encounters, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards. You will play a critical role in improving clinical documentation accuracy, supporting high-quality patient care, and contributing to optimized revenue cycle performance.

Key Responsibilities
Review and abstract essential information from medical records to assign accurate codes for ED professional and facility services.
Code a minimum of 12 charts per hour while maintaining organizational quality benchmarks.
Apply updates from AMA, AHA, CMS, Coding Clinic, and client-specific guidelines in day-to-day coding.
Analyze medical documentation to assign and adjust ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes, including minor procedures, vaccines, and laboratory services.
Identify and code screening services, PQRS codes, and appropriate modifiers based on documentation.
Review NCCI edits, LCD/NCD coverage, and modify codes or modifiers accordingly.
Prioritize and manage assigned workloads to ensure timely resolution of edits and compliance with client and regulatory requirements.
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA standards, data security policies, and confidentiality protocols.
Follow all organizational policies, including shift changes, team reassignments, and workplace flexibility requirements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Allied Health, with AAPC or AHIMA certification.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in multispecialty Evaluation & Management coding, specifically Emergency Department (Profee and Facility).
Strong knowledge of Critical Care, ED workflows, and documentation standards.
Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Skilled in determining E/M levels based on MDM criteria, applying modifiers, and working with NCCI edits.
Expert-level command of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
Team-oriented professional with the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to quality and productivity improvements.
