Position Overview

Pediatric Associates is hiring a Medical Assistant Lead to oversee clinical operations at First Choice Peds Lee Vista and First Choice Peds Oviedo. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and the ability to guide Medical Assistants in delivering high-quality care for pediatric patients. This role includes assisting in clinical operations, staff training, patient care, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Assist in supervising and training Medical Assistants, ensure team compliance with organizational standards, and support the Practice Manager
  • Patient Care: Oversee clinical duties including vital signs, medical record updates, vaccine administration, and patient preparation for exams
  • Clinical Support: Assist in age-appropriate screenings, procedures, lab services, and vaccinations
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate patient documentation, including medical histories and follow-up tasks
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor vaccine cold chain, medication management, and clinical supplies to ensure patient safety
  • Cross-office Travel: Ability to travel to different office locations as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree for foreign-trained doctors
  • Certification: MA Diploma/Certification required or 3 years of MA experience; MA Certification preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience, with 2 years as a PA Medical Assistant preferred
  • Certifications: Active BLS certification required
  • Other: Ability to lead a team, strong communication skills, and proficiency in electronic health records
