Position Overview

Pediatric Associates is looking for a Medical Assistant to join their float team in Boerne, TX. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality patient care and support pediatric clinicians across multiple office locations. You’ll be an essential part of the team, offering assistance with both clinical and administrative functions to ensure exceptional care for children.

Key Responsibilities

✔️ Provide direct patient care, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment
✔️ Perform intake vitals and document medical histories
✔️ Assist clinicians in pediatric procedures and screenings
✔️ Administer vaccines and medications, maintaining vaccine cold chain management
✔️ Perform phlebotomy and lab sample collection
✔️ Handle patient follow-up, prescription requests, referrals, and patient forms
✔️ Travel between multiple office locations (15%-20%)
✔️ Adhere to best practice standards and organizational policies

Qualifications

✔️ High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in General Medicine for foreign medical doctors)
✔️ Medical Assistant (MA) Certification or 3+ years of experience
✔️ Active BLS certification
✔️ Valid driver’s license required
✔️ 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience preferred
✔️ Proficient in electronic health record systems
✔️ Knowledge of medical terminology, immunization, and safety practices
