Medical Assistant – Family & Internal Medicine | Santa Monica, CA

Job Summary:
UCLA Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for the 15th Street Plaza Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Clinic in Santa Monica, CA. In this career opportunity, you will play a critical role in delivering patient care in an ambulatory setting. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about outpatient care and chronic disease support in family and internal medicine practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with direct patient care in the clinic setting

  • Recognize normal and abnormal signs and symptoms

  • Provide emergency support in life-threatening situations

  • Carry out basic clinical procedures under supervision

  • Perform clerical duties including scheduling, documentation, and data entry

  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and supply stock

  • Support physicians, nurses, and fellow clinical staff


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification or training as a Medical Assistant (CMA preferred)

  • Knowledge of ambulatory care protocols

  • Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation procedures

  • Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical settings

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • CPR/BLS certification preferred

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in outpatient or internal medicine setting
