Job Opportunity: Medical Science Liaison Officer (MSLO) - CNS

We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison Officer (MSLO) specializing in the Central Nervous System (CNS)/Migraine Therapy Area to join our team. This role focuses on delivering effective, non-promotional scientific services to healthcare professionals while maintaining a high level of expertise in the CNS/Migraine domain.

  • Territory: Ireland-North and the Republic
  • Location: Ideally based within commuting distance to our office in Swords, Dublin

Key Responsibilities

As an MSLO, your primary focus will be the CNS/Migraine therapeutic area. Your responsibilities will include:

Compliance & Knowledge Management

  • Ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements, including the IPHA Code of Practice, HPRA regulations, and Teva’s internal processes.
  • Building and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of disease areas, products, and therapies.
  • Keeping informed about the NHS and HSE structure and operations.

Scientific Support & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Providing scientific and technical support to healthcare professionals, local decision-makers, and external experts.
  • Developing and delivering scientific presentations.
  • Addressing medical educational needs and responding to unsolicited medical requests in line with the IPHA Code of Practice.
  • Supporting formulary processes by providing relevant scientific data.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Working collaboratively with Medical Information and Marketing teams.
  • Providing therapy-specific and product-specific training to field and office-based personnel.
  • Reviewing promotional and educational materials for compliance with industry standards.

Research & Competitive Awareness

  • Monitoring clinical research, publications, and competitive developments in the CNS/Migraine field.
  • Attending national and international congresses, disseminating relevant insights internally and externally.

Medical Education & Investigation

  • Supporting expert speakers, faculty members, and medical congress activities.
  • Assisting clinical investigators and facilitating the approval of investigative studies.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications

  • Pharmacy degree or higher qualification (e.g., PhD) in a relevant scientific/medical field.
  • Experience in a medical scientific liaison role or other relevant field-based roles within the pharmaceutical industry is highly advantageous.
  • Expertise in the CNS or migraine therapy area is a distinct advantage.

Skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management abilities.
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and a self-starter attitude.
  • Flexibility to work as a team player and operate independently.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Availability for overnight stays and international travel as required.
