Your Mission in Medical at Lilly:

Joining our pharmaceutical team for this internship means learning from experienced professionals eager to share their knowledge and expertise. This 6-month internship will allow you to gain valuable, hands-on experience while contributing to impactful projects and responsibilities. Our goal is to help you integrate smoothly into the company and enhance your skill set.

The Medical Affairs Intern will assist with strategic and tactical planning in the lifecycle of our products, supporting both medical affairs and the broader team with scientific knowledge. You will play a key role in collaborating cross-functionally to meet the needs of external customers and internal partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and strategic support to the cross-functional team, assisting with the medical support during product launches.
  • Contribute to the development of local product plans, medical strategy, and medical training needs.
  • Support the organization and execution of symposiums, medical meetings, scientific exchanges, and engagements with healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with critical data analysis, development of educational materials, publications (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts), and competitive intelligence.
  • Collaborate with clinical research physicians to create an exceptional experience for healthcare professionals.
  • Address inquiries and requests from external customers, providing information in compliance with Lilly's guidelines for unsolicited information requests.
  • Participate in local coordination activities with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining relationships with medical societies and relevant stakeholders.

Desired Profile:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's, PhD, or equivalent in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine.
  • Ideally, some experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong scientific rigor, autonomy, organization, and flexibility.
  • Experience or interest in neurology, specifically Alzheimer's disease, neurodegenerative diseases, or psychiatry.
  • Strong communication skills, excellent listening abilities, and a passion for teamwork.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
