JOB SUMMARY

Are you a life sciences or research graduate with a passion for medical writing? Do you enjoy interpreting and communicating scientific data while collaborating with global medical professionals? If so, we invite you to join our Global Medical Affairs team at Novo Nordisk. This role offers an opportunity to engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), develop scientific communications, and contribute to international medical events in a dynamic, global environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Scientific Communication & Medical Writing:

  • Provide timely, accurate, and credible scientific and medical input for various projects related to Novo Nordisk’s products.
  • Prepare and edit scientific manuscripts, clinical study reports, and scientific publications.
  • Compile, analyze, and summarize data from multiple sources to support publications and medical presentations.
  • Develop sales education materials, product brochures, and promotional literature.
  • Write and maintain journal abstracts relevant to future scientific needs.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including:
    • Global Medical Affairs
    • US Affiliate Teams
    • Regional & Functional Departments
  • Engage in scientific discussions with KOLs across different platforms, ensuring accurate dissemination of medical and scientific information.
  • Prepare presentations for Novo Nordisk standalone events and international medical congresses.

Regulatory & Compliance Support:

  • Ensure that all scientific content aligns with global regulatory guidelines and Novo Nordisk’s internal compliance standards.
  • Support publication planning for external medical events in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education:

  • PhD in Life Sciences OR PharmD/M.Pharm

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in research (post-doc) or medical/scientific writing.
  • Proven publication record, preferably as first author in scientific journals.
  • Experience working in cross-cultural or global teams.

Key Skills:

  • Strong scientific writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Fluency in professional English.
  • Proactive approach with problem-solving capabilities and a positive attitude.

Global Medical Affairs, Bangalore operates as an extension of Global Medical Affairs HQ in Denmark and is a part of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore. The team consists of:

  • Global Scientific Advisors (Medical Writers)
  • Project Managers
  • Graphic Designers
  • Publication Managers

Together, we work with Medical Affairs teams across regions and affiliates to develop scientific content, manage projects, and execute publication strategies for external medical events.
