Job Title: Medical Advisor

Job Description

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is looking for an experienced Medical Advisor to provide the scientific foundation for the medical strategy in a specific Therapeutic Area (TA). This role includes managing medical activities, collaborating with thought leaders, and driving the execution of the Medical Affairs strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities

Medical Strategy Development: Serve as a core scientific member of the cross-functional team, providing the scientific foundation for the Therapeutic Area (TA) medical strategy.
Medical Activities Management: Oversee the conceptualization and execution of medical activities, including research, publications, medical education, and patient support programs.
Engagement with Thought Leaders: Build relationships with key thought leaders and engage them through medical affairs activities aligned with the overall strategy.
Execution of Medical Affairs Plan: Ensure the effective execution of the medical affairs plan through regional teams, focusing on medical education, product education, and special projects.
Therapeutic Area Expertise: Act as a scientific expert for the therapeutic area, discuss data with specialists, and train the sales and marketing teams on the latest medical developments.

Qualifications

Education: MBBS with M.D. in Pharmacology/Medicine or a full-time post-graduate qualification in any discipline of medicine.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a research company in a Medical Advisor capacity.

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

Experience in medical writing, clinical trial methodologies, research design, and ICH-GCP is a plus.
Strong knowledge of Indian regulations on healthcare professionals’ interactions, clinical trials, and new drug approvals (MCI code, UCPMP Code, and Drugs and Cosmetic Act).
Expertise in research methodologies and interpretation of medical data, along with strong academic credentials in the therapeutic area.
Strategic mindset, scientific acumen, and excellent communication skills for establishing peer-to-peer relationships with specialists.
Experience in complex business environments and a proven track record of success.
