Position Overview

Dr. Reddy’s is seeking a Medical Advisor to provide scientific leadership and therapeutic area expertise within the Medical Affairs team. The role involves engaging key thought leaders, supporting medical strategy execution, and facilitating the flow of medical insights to internal stakeholders such as sales and marketing teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong scientific acumen, analytical skills, and communication capabilities to establish credibility with healthcare professionals and contribute to the development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategic plan.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a core scientific member of cross-functional franchise teams, providing expertise for the Therapeutic Area (TA) medical strategy

  • Conceptualize, manage, and execute medical activities aligned with TA strategy, including research, publications, medical education, and patient support programs

  • Engage and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and thought leaders in the region

  • Facilitate medical education, product knowledge, and special projects for internal teams and healthcare professionals

  • Act as a therapeutic area expert, discussing scientific data, patient treatment trends, and clinical research insights with leading specialists

  • Contribute to the development of the Medical Affairs strategic plan and ensure timely execution of planned activities

  • Ensure compliance with COBE policies, Indian regulations, and ethical standards

  • Provide training and knowledge updates to sales and marketing teams on new medical developments and therapeutic insights


Required Qualifications

Education:

  • MBBS with a full-time postgraduate qualification in Pharmacology, Medicine, or any medical discipline

Experience:

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience as a Medical Advisor in pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research organizations

  • Exposure to therapeutic area strategy, KOL engagement, or medical affairs activities is preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of clinical trial methodologies, medical writing, and research design

  • Knowledge of Indian healthcare regulations, including MCI Code of Ethics, UCPMP Code, and Drugs & Cosmetic Act

  • Strategic mindset with scientific acumen to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals

  • Experience in complex, cross-functional business environments
