JOB OVERVIEW

Pfizer is seeking a Medical Advisor – Internal Medicine to lead and execute medical affairs strategies for assigned products. The role involves scientific leadership, stakeholder engagement, medical strategy development, evidence generation, regulatory support, KOL management, and collaboration with commercial and regulatory teams to improve patient outcomes and support business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Medical Strategy & Scientific Leadership

  • Develop and lead the implementation of medical strategies for assigned products.

  • Translate healthcare professional (HCP) insights into actionable medical plans.

  • Identify unmet medical needs and support evidence-based healthcare initiatives.

  • Provide scientific leadership across product lifecycle management.

Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with:

    • Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)

    • Medical associations

    • Academic institutions

    • Government stakeholders

    • Regulatory authorities

  • Drive scientific exchange and advocacy programs aligned with Pfizer policies.

  • Support partnerships aimed at improving healthcare quality and outcomes.

Medical Affairs & Scientific Communication

  • Review and approve scientific materials and medical communications.

  • Ensure medical accuracy and compliance of promotional and non-promotional content.

  • Provide medical expertise for internal and external scientific discussions.

  • Support development of educational programs for healthcare professionals.

Research & Evidence Generation

  • Lead local data generation programs.

  • Support:

    • Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies

    • Outcomes research

    • Non-Interventional Studies (NIS)

    • Post-Marketing Surveillance (PMS) studies

    • Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS)

  • Collaborate with research teams to generate meaningful clinical evidence.

Regulatory Affairs Support

  • Support product registrations and new indication approvals.

  • Provide scientific expertise during regulatory submissions.

  • Review product labeling and regulatory documents.

  • Assist regulatory teams with data generation requirements.

Commercial Collaboration

  • Partner with commercial teams to support business strategies.

  • Provide scientific input for brand planning activities.

  • Support sales force training with medical expertise.

  • Ensure scientific integrity in customer-facing activities.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with Pfizer policies, SOPs, and regulations.

  • Complete all mandatory trainings and MAPP requirements.

  • Maintain high ethical and scientific standards across activities.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • MBBS

Preferred

  • MD (Internal Medicine or related specialty)

  • Medical Degree with specialization

  • Degree in Medical Sciences

  • Postgraduate qualification in Management after Medical Degree

  • Advanced scientific qualifications

EXPERIENCE

Preferred

  • Experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience in Internal Medicine therapeutic area.

  • Experience with:

    • KOL Management

    • Medical Strategy Development

    • Clinical Research

    • Scientific Communications

    • Regulatory Support

    • Evidence Generation Programs
