Manage and supervise medical writing staff focused on narratives. Coordinate resources and medical writing activities to deliver high-quality, accurate, and compliant documents that meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Supervise medical writing staff; set goals and conduct performance reviews
Evaluate training needs, create development plans, mentor, and coach direct reports
Recommend actions regarding salary administration, recruitment, onboarding, terminations, and employee counseling
Advise staff on policies, technical issues, priorities, and work methods
Oversee medical writing deliverables following company/client SOPs
Lead cross-functional writing teams and proactively resolve issues
Review medical writing outputs for completeness, accuracy, and quality
Perform reviews of statistical analysis plans and tables/figures/listings
Support leadership in document development strategies and quarterly business updates
Assist with budgeting, timelines, revenue, invoicing, and forecasting
Participate in the planning, writing, and assembly of deliverables as needed
Develop and maintain SOPs and templates; serve as a resource for implementation
Build and maintain internal and external customer relationships
Track, maintain, and review department metrics
Support business development activities, including proposal writing, costing, bid defenses, and customer meetings
$95,000.00 – $175,700.00
(Salary varies based on candidate qualifications, skills, and experience.)
