About the Role:

We are seeking a Manager, Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Neuroscience to join our field-based medical team in India. This role provides a unique opportunity to engage with scientific experts, influence clinical research, and support Lilly’s strategic objectives in the neuroscience therapeutic area.

As an MSL, you will serve as a trusted scientific partner, providing accurate, evidence-based medical information, capturing insights from key opinion leaders, and translating scientific findings into actionable strategies that drive the future of neuroscience research and patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

Scientific Expertise and Knowledge Management

  • Maintain deep, up-to-date scientific knowledge of neuroscience disease states, Lilly compounds, and competitor therapies

  • Engage in continuous learning to answer complex scientific questions with credibility and authority

  • Serve as a reliable source of unbiased medical and scientific information for healthcare professionals

Customer Engagement and Support

  • Conduct field-based interactions with healthcare professionals and scientific experts through 2-way dialogue

  • Provide advanced disease state and product information to address clinical and scientific inquiries

  • Facilitate connections between external experts and internal Lilly resources to explore collaborative research opportunities

Strategic Vision and Leadership

  • Analyze complex scientific data and communicate actionable insights to cross-functional teams

  • Contribute to affiliate medical planning and strategy by identifying trends and unmet scientific needs

  • Demonstrate independent decision-making while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations

Territory Management

  • Own and manage assigned territory (southern and western India) by developing and executing a strategic plan

  • Prioritize core activities to maximize efficiency and results

  • Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and procedural requirements


Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Advanced degree in health sciences: MBBS, MD, or PhD in a medically related field (Medical degree preferred)

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in neuroscience, medical affairs, or MSL roles

  • Proven ability to engage scientific experts and key opinion leaders

  • Experience in delivering complex scientific information and supporting medical education

  • Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, and clinical research processes

  • English proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading

Desired Skills:

  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time within southern and western India

  • Flexibility to work some weekends as needed

  • Intellectual curiosity and learning agility to comprehend and communicate complex scientific content

  • Self-directed, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Strategic and critical thinking abilities
