Role Overview

As a Manager, Clinical Data Science, you will be the primary point of contact for the sponsor, overseeing the clinical data science portfolio and ensuring alignment, performance, and compliance across multiple functional service provider (FSP) engagements.


Key Responsibilities

Program & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary sponsor contact for overall program oversight and strategic alignment.

  • Lead issue resolution and escalation management, ensuring efficient problem-solving across studies.

  • Collaborate with sponsor’s Study Teams and DMM Leadership to represent FSP operations in performance and quality reviews.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of a portfolio of clinical studies, ensuring quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.

  • Manage study documentation and archiving in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Resource & Team Management

  • Handle FSP staffing and resource planning, including forecasting and recruitment to meet sponsor needs.

  • Drive training compliance across all FSP personnel to align with both sponsor and industry regulatory requirements.

  • Provide people management and leadership across resourcing and delivery teams.

Financial Management

  • Deliver monthly budget estimates and accrual reports, ensuring fiscal accountability.

  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and accurate financial tracking.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track study performance metrics and milestones.

  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement best practices for operational excellence.


Candidate Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field (required)

Experience & Skills:

  • Proven experience in people management, project leadership, and functional resourcing.

  • Working knowledge of the clinical development lifecycle (Phases I–IV).

  • Strong understanding of clinical study design principles.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage global clinical operations.
