Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Medical Writer to contribute to the creation of scientific content for a variety of medical communication activities. In this role, you will be responsible for writing original content related to publication activities, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide presentations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of scientific accuracy and adhere to industry guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Write original content for healthcare publications, including primary and review manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide presentations, and meeting summaries.
  • Scientific Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of assigned therapeutic areas and the ability to interpret and apply clinical data.
  • Compliance and Guidelines: Ensure content is prepared according to internal writing guidelines, client-specific style guidelines, and compliance best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage workloads to meet project timelines.
  • Client Interaction: Participate in author/client teleconferences, review and incorporate feedback, and lead author teleconferences as necessary.
  • Strategic Planning: Engage in brainstorming and strategic publication planning sessions to support client goals.
  • New Business Development: Assist in the development of new business presentations by researching and analyzing clinical data.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD, PharmD, or MD.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical communications, with substantial experience in medical writing across various communication formats.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent scientific and medical accuracy, the ability to creatively overcome challenges, and exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as client needs require (e.g., client meetings, congress meetings, sales meetings).
