Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain statistical programming standards and best practices

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in programming activities

  • Collaborate with statisticians and stakeholders to meet project needs

  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity of data and outputs

  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues

  • Mentor and train junior programmers

  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback

  • Design and implement efficient programming solutions

  • Continuously improve processes, tools, and workflows

  • Stay updated with industry trends and integrate new techniques


Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field

  • Extensive statistical programming experience, preferably in clinical/pharma

  • Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python

  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and data analysis

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Effective teamwork and communication abilities


Preferred Certifications

  • SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 (or equivalent)

Role Level Summary (P23 Level)

  • Develop programs and provide statistical programming support for statisticians, clients, and internal use

  • Create analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures

  • Source, organize, and interpret complex datasets

  • Evaluate and improve programming processes for efficiency

  • Lead projects, contribute across multiple functional areas, and guide lower-level professionals

  • Act as a recognized expert individual contributor with measurable organizational impact
