    IT Engineer – Global Service Delivery

    Baxter seeks an IT Engineer to join our Global Service Delivery team, focusing on the installation, configuration, and delivery of the Baxter ICNet product suite and the integration of other Baxter solutions worldwide.

    This position is critical to ensuring smooth deployments, resolving server and software-related issues, and proactively maintaining customer connectivity infrastructure. Based in Gloucester, occasional travel for meetings will be required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Software Deployment & Support:

      • Install and configure Baxter software applications.
      • Set up customer servers and establish VPN connections.
      • Perform upgrades and support for ICNet software products, Rhapsody Integration Engine, SQL Server, and MySQL.
      • Provide 24/7 on-call support via a rota.

    • Infrastructure Management:

      • Oversee network monitoring infrastructure and customer connectivity solutions.
      • Manage firewalls, including N3 and site-to-site setups.
      • Handle Virtual Machine Management (Hyper-V and VMWare).

    • Server Operations:

      • Troubleshoot server-related incidents, including performance issues and connectivity challenges.
      • Optimize SQL Server and MySQL performance.
      • Configure SMTP and SMS services, and manage database backups.
      • Migrate Baxter software between servers.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Technical Expertise:

      • Hands-on experience with Juniper (or equivalent) firewalls.
      • Proficiency in MySQL and/or MS SQL Server management.
      • Familiarity with Microsoft-based server and desktop OS, IIS, Apache, and VPN/firewall management.
      • Some Linux experience (Red Hat preferred); containerization knowledge is a bonus.

    • Certifications & Frameworks:

      • MCSE certification or equivalent experience.
      • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks.

    • Skills:

      • Strong understanding of hardware, networks, and database optimization.
      • Experience with virtual machine deployment and management.
