About the Role
As a Director - Project Manager, you will manage cross-functional programs, ensuring high-quality and robust deliverables for effective program planning and execution. Your role will have a significant impact, requiring you to work independently while guiding medium-sized project teams. You will handle projects with moderate complexity and risk, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive success.
Key Responsibilities
IMPACT: Successfully execute projects with moderate risk, making a significant impact within your sub-function or even broader. Communicate complex concepts and negotiate to align viewpoints, regularly presenting to and consulting with line management and executives.
COMPLEXITY: Manage projects with moderate complexity, leading a medium-sized team from diverse roles and backgrounds. Analyze and validate complex data from various sources, ensuring alignment across sub-functions.
ACCOUNTABILITY/INDEPENDENCE: Accountable for the successful execution of projects, including budget management and scope clarification. Work independently, seeking guidance only in critical situations.
EXPERIENCE: Leverage substantial project management experience and deep knowledge of your discipline, market, and competitors.
MENTORING: Act as a mentor and line manager for Project Managers, offering guidance and fostering development.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific discipline with 6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or medical device industry OR
Master’s degree in a Scientific discipline with 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or medical device industry.
At least 1 year of experience in the drug development process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management training or certification (e.g., PMI, IPMA).
Experience in a globally matrixed organization.
Strong collaborative and relationship-building skills.
Excellent organizational, time management, facilitation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
