Role Overview:

The Internal Audit Analyst (SG25 IT Auditor) will contribute to ongoing and new ITGC, SOX-404, and specialized IT audits & advisory projects related to Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), risk assessments, and technology-focused audits. The role ensures IT controls adherence, regulatory compliance, and supports SOX compliance processes.


Primary Responsibilities:

Audit Execution & Compliance

  • Support execution of the annual audit plan for UnitedHealth Group and its subsidiaries.

  • Conduct Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) compliance initiatives including SOX, Companies Act – IFC implementation, and ITGC audits.

  • Conduct IT risk assessments for business and IT processes.

  • Assist in preparing audit planning documentation for assigned audits.

  • Lead IT audit walkthroughs independently.

  • Perform Test of Design and Test of Operating Effectiveness for IT-GCC controls.

  • Conduct detailed audit procedures, documentation, and testing across multiple application environments (Mainframe & Distributed).

  • Perform physical and datacenter audits.

  • Support business audit/ICFR testing projects during downtime.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with other audit firms (e.g., EY, DT).

  • Coordinate with departments such as Risk Management, Finance, Technology Services, Development, and Legal.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare clear, accurate, and complete workpapers in accordance with departmental quality standards.

  • Build, implement, and test ITGC framework for India legal entities.

  • Track remediation plans until closure.

  • Prepare dashboards, audit documentation, status, and summary reports.

Compliance & Policies

  • Comply with employment contract terms, company policies, and directives regarding work location, teams, shifts, and flexible work arrangements.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science/Technology.

  • 4+ years of experience in IT audit, GCC testing, SOX-404, or related areas.

  • Hands-on experience with IT audits across Mainframe, Distributed systems, Operating Systems, Mobile computing, Cloud, Big Data.

  • Experience with e-GRC applications.

  • Strong knowledge of IT processes, risk, and controls (SDLC, Backup & Restore, Job scheduling, QA, Testing, Logical Security, Application Architecture).

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

  • Exposure to managing international clients/customers.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Audit or Risk Management (CISA, CIA, CPA, CRISC, ISO).

  • IT-GCC testing and audit experience for complex healthcare/insurance applications.

  • Knowledge of Risk and Control frameworks such as COSO and COBIT.
