Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Incentive Compensation and Alignments supports the US Animal Health business by developing and managing incentive programs for field sales teams. This role serves as a strategic partner in designing sales incentives that motivate performance and align with business objectives.

The individual must be an expert in incentive plan design, goal setting, and program evaluation, working closely with the Field Force Alignment Lead to ensure crediting rule accuracy. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration, identifying process improvement opportunities, and managing written and verbal communications tailored to different business audiences.


Key Responsibilities:

Incentive Program Development & Management:

  • Develop and implement sales incentive programs aligned with business strategy.
  • Ensure programs are administered within established platforms/systems.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance anomalies.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to align incentive strategies with company goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of incentive programs, making necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure all programs comply with Terms & Conditions governing Sales Incentive Compensation plans.

Internal Control, Audit & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to risk control checklists and assist in audit coordination.
  • Serve as a testing lead for incentive reporting platforms and alignment software.
  • Conduct strategy testing, including setup, filters, components, calculations, and special conditions.

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization:

  • Perform root cause analysis for issues within the end-to-end incentive compensation process.
  • Create and document internal controls at critical points in the incentive compensation process.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure a clear understanding of incentive processes.
  • Leverage expertise in Field Sales Incentive Compensation to advise the business and stakeholders.
  • Translate complex technical terminology into business language for leadership and decision-making.
  • Proactively communicate potential issues before they impact the field sales force.

Compliance & Ethics:

  • Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Report any observed violations immediately to management.
  • Maintain high ethical and professional standards with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Successfully complete all annual compliance training modules assigned by the company.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Marketing from an accredited institution.
  • 7-9 years of progressive experience in administrative, marketing, customer service, or related business roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Sales & Incentive Compensation required.
  • Experience in Animal Health industry is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret sales data for strategic decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated history of successful performance in relevant competencies.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to undergo a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
