Our work involves extensive field operations at mine sites, industrial locations, urban areas, and remote backcountry sites. • Project Support: Assist project managers with H&S client submissions, including H&S Plans and Job Hazard Analyses.
  • Field Program Assistance: Support H&S aspects of field operations, including pre-field inspections, weather monitoring, and tracking employee status in remote areas.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct or coordinate H&S inspections, audits, and accident investigations in both field and office settings.
  • Medical Surveillance: Manage the medical surveillance program and facilitate client-required drug and alcohol testing.
  • Health Monitoring: Conduct or coordinate necessary health and safety monitoring.
  • Metrics Tracking: Monitor H&S metrics, maintain documentation, and manage regulatory and client reporting.
  • Field Equipment Management: Assist in managing company field vehicles and H&S equipment.
  • Special Projects: Complete special H&S projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Technical Degree in occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field. Degrees in science or engineering with relevant H&S experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: 10+ years of H&S experience, preferably in a consulting environmental or engineering firm.
  • Certifications: Certification in one or more safety fields, such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST); equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA, MSHA, ANSI standards, and incident investigation processes. Knowledge of California OSHA regulations is a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel for training and workshops within the western U.S. and potentially to South American offices.
  • Team Skills: Strong communication and organizational abilities, with experience managing teams and promoting a safety culture.
  • Field Experience: Familiarity with safety requirements for operating mechanically or electrically powered equipment (e.g., drill rigs) and working in remote areas; experience with environmental hazards is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with SiteDocs or similar online safety management systems, as well as third-party platforms like Avetta and ISNetworld, is desired.
  • License: Valid driver’s license.
  • Language Skills: Spanish language skills are beneficial.
